GOODYEAR, Ariz. – The Cincinnati Reds lost to the Kansas City Royals 10-3 Sunday afternoon at Goodyear Ballpark. The Reds are now 3-7-1 in spring training.
The game in three paragraphs:
- Reds right-hander Anthony DeSclafani had a rough second start to his spring training. In the first inning, DeSclafani allowed five hits – two of which were extra-base hits – and three earned runs. His second and final inning went much smoother thanks to a strikeout and a double play.
- The Reds offense came alive in the sixth inning but it wasn't enough to catch the Royals' 15-hit day.
