Sonny Gray pitched 5 innings of 3 ER ball yesterday, topping the 200 K mark on the season in the process. The Cincinnati Reds righty has been nothing short of outstanding for most all of 2019, particularly over the latter 2/3rds of the season - in his final 22 starts of the season, he pitched to a tidy 2.40 ERA.
What makes that all a bit more astounding is that apparently he’s been doing it with some oob and flurm floating around in his pitching elbow. Today, he had a planned arthroscopic surgery to remove those floaty-bodies, as MLB.
