Eugenio Suárez established himself as a star player last season. He hit 49 home runs, a record for the National League third baseman and for a Venezuelan player.
He hit .271 and drove in 103 runs, surpassing 100 RBI for the second straight year.
That, however, does not make one immune to pressing. Suárez started this season 0-for-16. He’s come out of the past two games with hits in each of them, along with two RBI and two runs scored. He thinks some of it was playing his old team, the Detroit Tigers.
“I’ve been feeling better the last two games,” Suárez said.
