GOODYEAR, Ariz. – Eugenio Suarez said he didn’t want to get a tattoo.
But he did want to alter something about his look. When the Cincinnati Reds third baseman arrived at camp for the first time Thursday, it wasn’t difficult to spot the change.
His hair is now a bright, platinum shade of gray, which contrasted sharply with Suarez’s black beard. And it’s generated laughter from just about every teammate he’s encountered.
“It’s outrageous,” said catcher Tucker Barnhart.
