Wade Miley returned to his rock-solid ways on Saturday, keeping the Cincinnati Reds in their game against the St. Louis Cardinals while we all hoped the offense and bullpen would match him with their efforts.
The bullpen was solid. The offense...not so much.
Miley scattered 5 hits and a pair of runs in his 6.0 IP, while Sal Romano and Heath Hembree chipped in with zeroes of their own in relief. For that, they deserve their dap.
Key Plays
- Miley’s day didn’t get off to a flying start, however. A trio of early singles in the Bottom of the 1st concluded with Nolan Arenado driving in Tommy Edman, and the Reds were behind from the start of this one.
