Amir Garrett was ejected after throwing a punch in a benches-clearing brawl between the Reds and Pirates on Tuesday. Bobby Nightengale, Cincinnati Enquirer
When Cincinnati Reds pitcher Amir Garrett ran over to the Pittsburgh Pirates dugout and sparked a benches-clearing brawl in the eighth inning Tuesday at Great American Ball Park, it was just the latest chapter in a long history of feuding between the two clubs.
It was the second benches-clearing incident between the two teams this season. In 12 games against each other this year, they’ve totaled 15 ejections and nine hit batsmen.
