Just after the sun set on Monday, the Cincinnati Reds finally stirred the MLB trade deadline pot, sending outfielder Adam Duvall to the Atlanta Braves for right-handed pitchers Lucas Sims and Matt Wisler and outfielder Preston Tucker.
The Reds’ motivation for moving Duvall was multifaceted. He is about to be arbitration-eligible, which means he is about to get more expensive for whatever team is employing him. He also displays great power and defense that make him an attractive commodity for other teams.
