Free agent and former Cincinnati Reds outfielder Scott Schebler signed a minor-league deal with the Los Angeles Angels, according to a report via Twitter on Saturday from USA TODAY's Bob Nightengale.
The Reds traded Schebler, 30, to the Atlanta Braves for cash in July. He made just one plate appearance for the Braves, which granted him free agency earlier this month.
In parts of four seasons for the Reds, Schebler hit .239 with 58 home runs and 163 RBIs. He hit a career-best 30 homers in 2017.
The Reds acquired Schebler along with Brandon Dixon and Jose Peraza from the Los Angeles Dodgers in Dec.
