Scooter Gennett scoots all over Marlins, Reds win 4-2

It was hard to choose who would win the JNMHSotG, because there were a couple of great performances, but dammit Scooter Gennett has just been delivering all year. He did it again tonight against the Miami Marlins, accounting for all 4 Reds’ runs on the evening to help lead them to the win. He went 2 for 3 with a 2-run double and a 2-run dinger while also adding a walk, raising his batting average to .318 on the season. Have a trophy, Sooter.

Honorable mentions are due to: Cody Reed, who threw 6 shutout innings while walking none and striking out 6 and Eugenio Suarez for collecting 2 hits on the night.
