Mayor Amy Brewer will make an official proclamation declaring Thurs., May 3 as Scooter Gennett Day in Lebanon, and a short ceremony recognizing the Cincinnati Reds' second baseman will take place before the Lebanon native signs autographs and meets with fans starting at 5 p.m. at Lebanon Candy and Sports Cards on Mulberry Street.
Gennett spent the first nine years of his life in Lebanon before his family moved to Sarasota, Fla.
