CINCINNATI -- The Reds finally scored their first run of the 2018 season, and they took a rare path to do it.
Left-handed hitting Scott Schebler hit Stephen Strasburg's first pitch into the right-field seats with two outs in the fourth inning, cutting Washington's lead to 5-1. The homer was the first allowed by Strasburg in eight games since last Aug. 19 at San Diego.
Schebler's homer also was the first off of Strasburg's changeup since May 16 of last season. That was the only Strasburg changeup hit for a home run all last season.
