John Franco, who spent the first six seasons of his Major League Baseball playing career as a relief pitcher with the Cincinnati Reds, said he'd "be happy to listen" to the New York Mets as they search for a new manager, according to a report via Twitter on Friday from MLB Network's Jon Heyman.
The 59-year-old Franco pitched for the Mets for 14 seasons after the Reds traded him to New York in 1989, and serves as a club ambassador for the team.
