GOODYEAR, Arizona – Two days before Major League Baseball made its announcement to suspend spring training and delay the start of the regular season, things were still running smoothly in the Cactus League.
The Cincinnati Reds played a pair of split-squad games Tuesday against the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies. There were 3,619 fans at Goodyear Ballpark and 7,108 fans at Salt River Fields. It was the first day under the new policy that prohibited clubhouse access to non-essential personnel, including media members, but there were hundreds of fans at the team’s complex watching their morning workout.
