The Cincinnati Reds (26-45) are back at Great American Ballpark to begin a six game homestand (12 of their next 15 games are at GABP). The Reds will start the homestand tonight against at 7:10 PM against the Detroit Tigers (36-37). The Tigers are surprisingly just 3.0 games out of first place behind the Indians in the AL Central. The Tigers are in full rebuild mode, and were only projected by PECOTA to win 68 games this season. They are currently riding a five game win streak, despite losing Miguel Cabrera for the season last week.
The Tigers have been lead offensively by rookie Jeimer Candelario (126 wRC+, 10 HR) and Nicholas Castellanos (131 wRC+, 9 HR).
