The Reds traded left-handed reliever Tony Cingrani to the Dodgers at Monday’s non-waiver trade deadline, the Enquirer has learned.
The Reds received outfielder Scott Van Slyke and minor-league catcher/infielder Hendrik Clementina in return.
Clementina is a 20-year-old catcher and first baseman from Curacao. He is currently with the Dodgers’ Pioneer League affiliate in Ogden, Utah, where he is hitting .370/.439/.554 with four home runs and 25 RBI. He will report to the Reds' rookie league team in Billings, Montana.
