GOODYEAR, Arizona – Before the Cincinnati Reds had more live batting practice sessions and some team fielding drills on Friday, they threw some footballs around as a part of their conditioning.
It’s a popular drill that pitchers do throughout the season with strength coach Sean Marohn. Other days they will play soccer or various other activities.
Catcher Tucker Barnhart marked the occasion of the football drills by making a Cincinnati Reds football helmet for Marohn.
