SPARTA, Ky. - And this pace car belongs to Marty Brennaman.
Longtime Cincinnati Reds radio announcer Brennaman was the pace car driver for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Quaker State 400 race at Kentucky Speedway here Saturday night.
Brennaman was his typically candid self at a pre-race press conference in the track's media room, addressing topics including NASCAR and the Reds. Brennaman was especially effusive in praising the job done by Reds interim manager Jim Riggleman, with the team playing .500 baseball since a 3-18 start this year.
What should the Reds do about the managerial situation for 2019, Brennaman was asked.
