Reds recap: Reds rally to top Cardinals

Asher Wojciechowski recorded his first quality start as a Red and Cincinnati scored four runs in the seventh to take the opening game of the four-game series with the Cardinals 4-2.

Here are the main storylines from Monday’s game:

• Reds get to Martinez in 7th: Cardinals right-hander Carlos Martinez stepped on the mound in the seventh inning having given up just one hit and having faced the minimum. He wouldn’t make it out of the inning.

Billy Hamilton led off with a bunt single back to Martinez that the pitcher couldn’t field. Zack Cozart followed with a single and then Joey Votto walked.
