TORONTO — The Reds didn’t lose by as many runs on Tuesday in Toronto, but they still lost, 6-4 to the Blue Jays.
Here are the storylines from Tuesday’s game:
• Wood can’t hold it down: Reds pitchers had allowed 78 home runs this season before Blake Wood gave up his first.
But his first was a doozy, as Blue Jays designated hitter Kendrys Morales launched the game-winning, two-run home run off of Wood in the eighth inning of Tuesday’s loss.
All six of the Blue Jays’ runs came on home runs — three off of starter Asher Wojciechowski in the fourth and then the eighth-inning homer by Morales.
