A lot of you probably forgot that Phil Ervin, the 1st round pick of the Cincinnati Reds from the 2013 MLB Draft, was even back with the team. Hell, I had to check twice. That’s the case, however, as he was called up after Devin Mesoraco was placed back on the 10-day DL with a broken foot earlier this week.
Well, Ervin’s back, and after a late game switch brought him into the game, the rookie smashed a solo homer for both his first career hit and first career dinger, which is certainly worthy of a bit of dap.
