ST. LOUIS – The Cincinnati Reds pitching staff has issued the second-most walks (433) in the Major Leagues this season, which may be a side effect of their strikeout-heavy approach.
There’s the adage that walks haunt, but Reds pitching coach Derek Johnson said he doesn’t view it as a team-wide problem.

“Well, I think it's relative,” Johnson said. “Is it a problem? It probably is for some. It probably isn't for others. It's relative in order to when it happens in the game.
