GOODYEAR, Arizona – Cincinnati Reds starting pitcher Wade Miley had just thrown an ordinary pitch to make it a 2-1 count when he stepped off the mound for the last time on Thursday.
At first, the Reds infielders gathered around the mound. But when Miley started grabbing at his left leg, manager David Bell and a trainer went onto the field to check on Miley, who was Cincinnati’s most frequently injured pitcher in 2020.
