Cincinnati Reds left fielder Tommy Pham left the game on Tuesday after a collision in the outfield with center fielder Nick Senzel.
On home Opening Day, Pham and Senzel both attempted a sliding catch on a fly ball in shallow left field. Pham collided head-first into Senzel’s chest, and Pham used his arm to brace the fall.
After the play, Reds manager David Bell and a team trainer checked on Pham and Senzel in the outfield, but they both remained in the game. Pham made an at-bat in the fourth inning, grounding into a double play.
