Reds Opening Day 2019: Chris Welsh bemoans foul bunt, lack of fundamentals

It's Game No. 1 of 162, but it's not too early in the season for Cincinnati Reds broadcaster Chris Welsh to lament a lack of fundamentals in a close game.

Cincinnati Reds outfielder Scott Schebler's inability to put a ball in play on a bunt attempt just foul of the third-base line with the Pittsburgh Pirates employing a shift - leaving most of the left side of the infield open for Schebler - in the bottom of the fourth inning with the Reds leading 1-0 drew the following reaction from Welsh and play-by-play broadcaster Thom Brennaman during their Opening Day broadcast on FOX Sports Ohio:

Brennaman: "Trying to bunt his way on to begin the inning and if he just bunts that ball in fair territory, he could've crawled his way to first base.
