The Reds opened the season with four outfielders for three spots. With Matt Kemp gone and Scott Schebler in Triple-A, the Reds don't have a true backup outfielder on the bench.
Jesse Winker, Nick Senzel and Yasiel Puig will get most of the time.
As far backups, Derek Dietrich and Jose Peraza are in the mix.
"We have Derek, who can play outfield," Reds manager David Bell said. " We have Jose Peraza who's played out there in the past."
Dietrich has played 161 games in the outfield – all but one in left. Peraza has played 27 in the outfield – 17 in center.
