Cincinnati Reds prospect and No. 2 overall draft pick Hunter Greene is in Billings, Montana, but is not yet active on the roster of the Rookie-Advanced Mustangs. The Reds hope to get him on the roster in the next few days, but in the meantime Greene is working to get his arm in condition to pitch for the first time in months.
Greene last pitched in late April, and tossed only 28 innings his senior year of high school. The idea was to prevent injury and preserve some of his innings for pro ball. The Reds hope they can get about a month of Greene pitching before Billings’ season ends in early September.
