It’s been over two months since Cincinnati Reds infielder Donovan Solano injured his hamstring while running the bases in a spring training game.
Since then, Solano has dealt with multiple setbacks and ramped up and scaled back his workload a few times. But for the first time since the injury on March 29, Solano is nearing his return.

Solano is scheduled to start a rehab assignment on Tuesday, and he likely wouldn’t need the entire three-week assignment before he would be able to return to the Reds lineup.
