GOODYEAR, Ariz. — Reds manager David Bell says it’s clear after a week of games that Nick Senzel can be a Major League center fielder.
But Bell seemed to give a slight opening that Senzel would not be the center fielder on Opening Day.
“I feel like can do it,” Bell said. “There’s no question he can do it. It’s going to come down to what’s best for him, what’s best for our roster. He has the ability to do it. It’s going to take a lot of work. He’s put in the work. And it’s going to take the game experience that just can’t replicate, which we’re focused on for the rest of spring training.
