Reds losing streak spirals to 11 games as the offense continues to struggle

In the bottom of the fifth inning on Saturday, Cincinnati Reds third baseman Colin Moran hit a line drive down the third-base line. For the first time all game, the home crowd started to roar, and a few fans shouted at the ball, “Get out of here!”

For a fleeting moment, there was hope among the crowd of 28,598 at Great American Ball Park that the Reds could put together some offense and snap their 10-game losing streak. But Moran’s line drive hooked foul into the seats. It wasn’t anywhere close to a home run, and Moran ended the at-bat with a strikeout.
