It’s been a brutal start to the season for the Cincinnati Reds’ starting rotation, but there is some help on the way.
Luis Castillo returned from the injured list to make his season debut Monday, and Mike Minor may not be far behind. Minor is scheduled to throw three innings or 45-50 pitches at Triple-A Louisville on a rehab assignment Tuesday. If everything progresses smoothly, he will make another rehab start Sunday for about four innings or 65 pitches.
Minor, who was delayed in spring training with left shoulder soreness, had a rehab assignment cut short on April 13 after reporting more soreness afterward.
