Cincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto was ejected by rookie umpire Carlos Torres for arguing a called third strike in the top of the 1st inning Wednesday against the Braves in Atlanta.
Votto walked away and then added something. Torres then booted him.
Votto briefly charged at Torres, but third base coach Billy Hatcher got between them.
Votto took three straight pitches for the strikeout.
