Reds hold meeting to discuss Hamilton plan

ST. LOUIS -- The Reds are going over their options for what to do with injured center fielder Billy Hamilton. The 25-year-old, who is out with a right shoulder injury, was in a closed-door meeting with manager Bryan Price, general manager Walt Jocketty and head trainer Paul Lessard on Monday afternoon.

There was no word on the plan for Hamilton, but surgery to clean out his shoulder was considered one of the possibilities.

Hamilton re-injured the capsule inside his shoulder while making throws from deep center field during a Sept. 14 game vs. the Giants.
