The Cincinnati Reds, with maybe the most uninspiring starting rotation in the National League, have agreed to a one-year major-league deal with former Red, Alfredo Simon, according to a report by Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports.

According to Zach Buchanan of the Cincinnati Enquirer, Simon is guaranteed a spot in the rotation, possibly a sign that Michael Lorenzen will not be ready for the regular season and fellow starters Homer Bailey, John Lamb and Jon Moscot are all questionable to begin the year healthy.
