It's always fun - albeit agonizing - to think about what might have been with a team's first-round draft picks now considered busts, and players the team could have drafted instead.
If each of the Cincinnati Reds' first-round picks of the past five years - including Robert Stephenson - gets a "TBD" pass, there have been seven Reds first-rounders (excluding supplemental picks) since 1990 to either never reach the big leagues or to finish their careers with a negative WAR. (All of the picks were from 1992 to 2002.)
Here they are, along with some of the players (with WARs of 20+) drafted later in the first round of each year.
