The Cincinnati Reds were down to their last batter in Max Schrock, who wasn’t on the MLB roster before the start of the weekend. With two outs in the bottom of the ninth in a one run game against Cleveland on Saturday, Schrock hit a weak ground ball down the first base line.
It went between the legs of Cleveland first baseman Josh Naylor. The Reds were still alive.
One batter later, left fielder Jesse Winker knocked in pinch-runner Nick Senzel to tie the game with a single into the outfield. Then in the bottom of the tenth, catcher Tyler Stephenson hit a walk-off line drive single into the gap as the Reds won 3-2.
