Reds come alive to score seven runs in seventh

CINCINNATI -- Jesse Winker's pinch-hit three-run home run highlighted a seven-run seventh frame for the Reds Sunday afternoon at Great American Ball Park against the Cubs. Cincinnati trailed Chicago, 6-1, heading into the seventh.

The Reds sent 13 batters to the plate in the seventh, scoring seven runs on seven hits and two walks. Joey Votto broke a 6-6 tie with am RBI double. Four of the runs were charged to right-hander Pedro Strop, who allowed Winker's third career pinch-hit homer on his first pitch, a two-seam fastball, after relieving starter Mike Montgomery.
