Since Major League Baseball started the All-Star Game voting process on Wednesday, there was already a push in the Reds’ clubhouse to get catcher Tyler Stephenson into his first All-Star Game.
There were plans to use social media to highlight Stephenson’s All-Star caliber. There was going to be a focus on the significant progress he has made on defense since Stephenson’s .305 batting average spoke for itself.

But now, Stephenson likely won’t get to play in the game.
