Reds break through on reviewed play at plate

CINCINNATI -- Brewers lefty Wade Miley had kept the Reds' lineup quiet most of Thursday afternoon at Great American Ball Park, until Dilson Herrera finally came up with a big two-out hit in the seventh inning.

Miley had a 1-0 lead when Phillip Ervin hit a one-out single to left field. With two outs, Herrera hit a double to left field. Chugging around third base, Ervin was waved home. Ryan Braun's throw was relayed by shortstop Hernan Perez and it beat Ervin to the plate. But it did not appear that catcher Erik Kratz applied the tag before Ervin touched home.
