Reds at Pirates Game Three: Preview and lineups and all that

Instead of saying anything about Homer Bailey, I’m just going to put my head on my desk for a bit.

Jameson Taillon is finally having the breakout season the Pirates have hoped for for like ever. He didn’t pitch in either 2014 or 2015, you know. It has been a loooong time coming for this kid, and for that I feel pretty happy for him.

He has allowed three earned runs or fewer for an incredible 17 straight starts. Historically though, a few Reds have hit him pretty hard. Jose Peraza has a sizzling .526 batting average against him in 19 ABs.
