Finally, after six straight games against League Champions, the Reds (18-22) play a team that not only did not win their respective league but missed the playoffs altogether. Yet, the news isn’t all good as the Indians (17-23) are returning home on a three game win streak and a 5-2 road trip against the Texas Rangers and Chicago White Sox.
The Indians have the second worst record in the AL, only above the A’s, but carry the fifth worst run differential at -15. They sit nine games behind the AL Central-leading Royals and six games back from the Twins for the second wild card spot.
