Reds at Cardinals, Game 1 - Preview and Lineups

Just in time for the bumbling Reds to catch their breath after getting pummelled by the Diamondbacks for 3 straight days, they head to St. Louis. I can’t imagine this is going to be any easier on them.

Since their altercation over the first weekend of the season, the Cardinals are 7-8 and have frustrated their fans as much as the Reds have. All eyes will be on Nick Castellanos and Yadier Molina, but this game and series shouldn’t be about them. The Reds need Castellanos to produce to be able to have a shot this weekend, but the Reds’ pitching needs to step up big to keep them in ballgames.
