The only significant moves the Reds made this off season (if you can even call them “significant”) was signing reliever Jared Hughes and David Hernandez to bolster and/or help turn around a bullpen that’s struggled for more than just a season. Then, predictably, relievers started getting hurt.
Couple that with the stretches of games that Eugenio Suarez and Scott Schebler have missed already this season, and the injury bug was back in a big way with the Reds.
However, slowly, one by one, the Reds are getting back to full strength.
