For the second time this week, Michael Lorenzen did his best Babe Ruth – or Shohei Ohtani – impersonation by hitting a home run.
Lorenzen, the right-handed reliever, entered to pitch in the top of the sixth inning of Friday’s game against the Milwaukee Brewers. After retiring the side in order, Lorenzen smacked a solo home run on a 2-2 pitch into the left-field seats against Brewers starter Chase Anderson.
It was his fourth career homer.
Lorenzen, a former two-way player at Cal State Fullerton, hit a pinch-hit homer in a comeback victory against the Cubs on Sunday.
