The San Francisco Giants announced Wednesday that they've signed right-handed starting pitcher Anthony DeSclafani to a one-year Major League contract. The deal is worth $6 million, according to multiple reports.
DeSclafani, 30, posted a 7.22 ERA and 1.693 WHIP in nine appearances - including seven starts - during the 2020 season. He became a free agent in October.
DeSclafani was traded by the Miami Marlins with Chad Wallach to the Reds for Mat Latos in Dec. 2014. He was 35-37 with a 4.19 ERA and 1.290 WHIP in six seasons for the Reds but missed the entire 2017 season with a UCL injury.
