ATLANTA – When MLB issued eight suspensions following Tuesday’s benches-clearing brawl between the Cincinnati Reds and Pittsburgh Pirates, Reds pitchers Amir Garrett and Jared Hughes said they didn’t want to make further comments about it. All six players who received a suspension elected to appeal.
The full list of suspensions for the Reds: Garrett (eight games), David Bell (six), Hughes (three), Yasiel Puig (three, later traded to Cleveland Indians). For the Pirates: Keone Kela (10), José Osuna (five), Kyle Crick (three), Clint Hurdle (two).
