Cincinnati Reds Chief Operating Officer Phil Castellini is hopeful that fans will be able to watch some of the 2020 season live, even if they'll have to enjoy Opening Day from home.
"There's a lot of our traditions here that we're going to miss," Castellini told The Enquirer Thursday. "No parade, no block party. We're all going through this collectively as a community."
He encouraged fans to follow the Reds on their social media pages and host virtual watch parties for tomorrow's game. There are a lot of giveaways happening, and kids under can still get a free Reds hat at area Frisch's locations on Saturday for Kids Opening Day.
