WASHINGTON, D.C. — For the second time in the three-game series against the Nationals, the Reds jumped out to a big lead in the first inning against a Washington starter. Friday it was four runs off of Stephen Strasburg and Sunday it was five against Tanner Roark.

Sunday they were able to do what they couldn’t on Friday, hold on to the lead and pull out a win, beating the Nationals 6-2 behind a strong start by Scott Feldman and four hits from Scooter Gennett, who drove in the Reds’ first and final run of the game.
