During a busy offseason, Pedro Strop was the Cincinnati Reds’ smallest free-agent signing, but they are hopeful that it will have big ramifications in the upcoming season.
Strop signed his one-year, $1.825 million contract Wednesday, giving the Reds a veteran reliever with postseason experience to add to their bullpen. Strop arrived in Cincinnati on Tuesday night before completing his physical to finalize the deal.
He could make an additional $1.675 million through incentives, according to Deportivo Z 101. He will receive a $25,000 bonus when he reaches 45 appearances.
