Paul Daugherty: Captain Hook's boys get the Reds even in game four of the 1975 World Series

Enquirer sports columnist Paul Daugherty is replaying the 1975 World Series using APBA Baseball, a well-known board game in existence since 1951.

In due time, the way Sparky Anderson ran his pitching staff would be seen as standard, but 1975 wasn’t yet that time. In ’75, the Reds set a major-league record by going 45 starts in a row, beginning on June 12, without a complete game. Captain Hook used 133 pitchers during that run.

Sparky went to his bullpen 277 times in the regular season. Ironically, that was only 4th-most in baseball.
