GOODYEAR, Arizona – Not long after Matt Kemp learned he was traded to the Reds in December, one of the first numbers he dialed was hitting coach Turner Ward.
Kemp and Ward worked well together last season with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Kemp was selected to his first All-Star Game since 2012, producing his best season at the plate in recent seasons. Now, they’ll be reunited for a second year.
“Man, I can’t get away from you,” Kemp told Ward.
